How blood flows through the heart

In 30 seconds
  • The heart has four chambers: two atria receive, two ventricles pump.
  • The right side pumps to the lungs; the left side pumps to the body.
  • Blood crosses tricuspid, pulmonary, mitral, then aortic valves.

A patient is prescribed 0.25 mg of a medication. Each tablet contains 0.125 mg. How many tablets should the nurse give?

Correct. Divide the ordered dose by the dose per tablet: 0.25 ÷ 0.125 = 2. Writing the units out shows you what cancels.

Lessons that show the process, not a wall of text.

16 lessons include a step-by-step animation you can pause, replay or listen to with narration. Every caption is checked against the lesson's sources.
